My stay at Old Downton Lodge was thoroughly enjoyable, thanks to the beautiful countryside location, the comfort of my room, and the very nice dining options. The attention to detail throughout my visit was impressive, although I did find my room quite warm despite having a fan (it was one of the hottest weekends!). Overall, I would highly recommend this charming spot for a relaxing getaway.

The attention to detail was very nice, with every element from the cozy room to the delicious dining experience tailored for comfort. My only minor note was the limited bar selection, but the really good food more than made up for it.

While the hotel provided comfortable amenities, the bar had a limited selection. It felt more like a restaurant with rooms rather than a fully equipped hotel, but this didn’t take away from the overall experience.
